On the bright, crisp morning of the first of February, the members of HotTUBBS set off early to Oxford, ready to compete in the Oxford Music Festival. They competed in two classes, including the barbershop category, in which it was lovely for the members to see other barbershop groups such as Five Ways performing. In the this class they sang popular contest tune Taking A Chance On Love, the polecat Sweet And Lovely and Blue Skies, directed by Boo Lewis.

They achieved excellent scores in the Outstanding category in both of their classes, winning the Mixed Voice class, in which they sang O Waly Waly and a Michael Jackson medley. Their choreography (by Eve Robertson and Beth Rothwell) really excited the audience and adjudicator, and they showed their skill and versatility by taking on board the comments they received in the earlier class.

All around it was yet another very successful competition for HotTUBBS.
